So many blessings....

I am amazed at the abundance of blessings in my life right now!  God has given my family this incredible opportunity to go live in another country to serve him and others there.... but in the process of moving soon, I have been reminded daily that we are not alone in this calling!  I promise you that it would be so much harder to do what we are going to do this January if it wasn't for all the people in our lives that have encouraged, prayed, challenged, spoken words of truth and correction, and just have been there with us through the years!  I am so thankful for everyone in our lives.  Our friends, family, kids, teachers, and pastors.  Thank You for all you have done in our lives and you are just as much a part of  what we are doing as we are..... Thank You!
As we shared our story at church this past Sunday, I was so blessed and encouraged by the response!  There are times when I wonder what people think of what we are doing, but then when I have heard such encouraging words from strangers, new friends, old friends, and family I know we are supported and not too crazy!  We have no doubt that we are supposed to be in Guatemala for a while, so it is great to know that people have a better understanding of why we are going.  One last thing to leave you with that I felt was important to share on Sunday too- Don't forget what God has asked you to do or be a part of.... He has dreams for you to live out, whether here in Canada, or in another place.... He wants you to be His vessel and to love others as He does!  So look to Him again and ask God to show you what you can do and you will forever be changed.... Love you all!

What is about to happen....

Well, let's just say in a short while my family's life is about to change!  We will be leaving for a year in Guatemala in January!  Many new things to learn, discover and walk through.... new language, new people, new culture, new school, new place to live, new laws, and many new adventures!  So January will mark a major life changing experience for our whole family and we are excited to see what God will do in us and through us.
It all began last November when I went to Monjas Guatemala for the first time with a women's team from church.  I fell in love with the orphanage we spent time at, with the people we met, the language, and everything about it!  I cried as we left the orphanage after spending only 4 days there and my heart was broken for the girls and boys I had met!  I cried the last few days in Antigua and kept thinking about what I could do and how I could be involved.  God broke my heart for every child and teenager I had met there and I couldn't stop thinking about them.  I cried when I got back home and even spoke in my sleep about Guatemala.... so the process began and my hubby and I both knew we needed to be involved somehow.
To make a long story short, we went as a family in the summer and made the decision to move there for a year.
We are excited, a bit nervous at times, but preparing for the big move.... many long lists, planning, and just trying to think of any thing else we need to do before moving.  So I really should go now and do some of those things on my lists and I will write more another day....
Love you lots, whoever you are, and thanks for being interested in our story, which is really a God story that we get to be a part of.  Talk to you soon,   The Lindbergs
